I have to say that this is great Thai food at a good price. I love the curry here. The staff are nice and food comes out quickly. My only regret once was ordering the papaya salad as it didn't have any papaya. (The first time I ordered the salad it did have papaya and it was great however the second time it didn't and the staff said I just wasn't seeing it!) Overall it's good though. zoineos (DI User), 02/04/12 The best Thai food in Oxford, hands down. My favorites are the chicken satay and the squid three tastes, but the curries and noodles I've had are also great. They do Thai iced teas. Foodie (Unverified), 03/08/11 The best Thai in Oxford. Owned by the same people who own AT Thai, but the food is much better. Everything is perfectly seasoned, the chicken is perfectly cooked, esp. the satay chicken. The noodle dishes are especially good. Expat (Unverified), 03/08/11 We eat there all the time and having sampled Thai cuisine pretty much everywhere in Oxford I'd say Angrid was one of the best. We take our one year old and he loves it too, he's a hit with the waitresses who positively welcome kids unlike a lot of other Oxford restaurants. Love the curries, the phad thai and the papaya salad. There's a great atmosphere there and lunch time week days is great for people watching. Yum! yummymum (Unverified), 30/05/10 Went for lunch at Angrid Thai for the first time today. The place itself looks like it had been kitted out from IKEA with simple tables and stools. There was coloured L.E.D. lighting and a T.V. screen showing Thailand tourist advertising, this proved to be somewhat distracting. A group of six of us went in and were seated immediately and handed our menus with a fair selection of stir-fry, noodle, and soup dishes. After ordering our food was served promptly. I had the stir-fried duck cashew nut. The duck was a bit dry around the edges but mostly well cooked and there was plenty of it. There was a good selection of veg and it was done nicely. It took a little too long to attract someone's attention to get our bill but when it came the cost worked out as less than £10 per head including drinks and a few side dishes to share. griggs (Unverified), 21/05/10 Please fill in the boxes and then click "Send Review" to submit your review for Angrid Thai. | |
