Lovely place with yummy vegetarian/vegan food and a friendly atmosphere. What more do you need :)
10/02/11 The Magic Cafe was a super veggie haven that I loved but in recent times it has gone downhill :( I was a regular but on the last few occassions I was not impressed with the food and lukewarm coffee. I think they are now running on their previous good reputation. What has happened??!!! Pang (Unverified), 28/10/10 Best place in Oxford. Decent prices, lush food. Necessary addition to Oxford's many restaurants. randymandy (Unverified), 02/07/10 Best coffee in Oxford, hands-down. Also love the food - have had the mushroom soup with noodles, various salads, quiches, and moussaka and it was all delicious. Have yet to try the curries, but they always smell amazing. Nice selection of teas and italian sodas, good local music on Saturday afternoons. This place is a delight - and don't forget to go check out all the tropical fish, turtles, and other exotic marine life at the Gold Fish Bowl next door! 14/03/10 Lovely wholesome food (cheescake and brownies like no other)....lovely venue....lovely music......lovely staff! Ms Tatty Ends (Unverified), 14/05/08 I've just discovered this place and have already been back twice. Have to agree that the chocolate brownies are the best in Oxford and I can definitely recommend the banana milkshake. The main course (changes daily) is just over a fiver and the spinach and potato pie I had was delicious. Definitely worth a wander down Magdalen Rd. Mixy (Unverified), 15/07/07 Just had a lovely slice of Leek and Mushroom pie with salad here. Very reasonable price and generous portion. Followed by a Chocolate Brownie and a Latte. Now I am very pleasantly full. Nice friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Abingdon Dave (Unverified), 11/01/07 Great, wholesome veggie nosh at reasonable prices. Child friendly, art-filled venue with the biggest, most interesting free community noticeboard I've ever seen!! Live music on Saturday lunchtimes between 1 and 2; chocolate brownie the best in Oxford. Banana, strawberry and apple juice smoothie sounds a bit freakish but is in fact DELICIOUS. Ageing hippie mecca!! pooppoop (Unverified), 27/06/06 Great food. Great atmosphere. Good place to meet and find out what else is happening in eco-friendly East Oxford.
