Pretty good burger fare and chips, for half the price of the other 'gourmet' burger joint on this street. Honest, no difference in the chips, and burgers I find even tastier here. Maybe not the huge GOURMET selection, nonetheless quite the same quality.

However I'm still waiting for that open-minded entrepreneur restaurateur who will finally offer home-made onion rings. So simple to prepare, yet a treasure hunt in the UK to find the real McCoy. Lord knows I have suggested to several in Oxford, to no avail!

I would certainly agree that the security staff ruin O'Neills. My experience of them on several occasions has been overly aggressive and intimidating (for no good reason).

O'Neill's has terrible service, sometimes none at all. The security staff (very aggressive) intimidate to a very unhelpful level. The toilets are awful and when busy the whole place is like a sweat pit. Yuk!

I think that O`Niell's is the worst place I have ever been to! Really cramped on a live band night, poor service - have to wait forever at the bar until someone bothers to serve or even notices you. The toilets are dreadful and smell just as bad as they look, as if that wasn't bad enough, to top of the whole night - when the bill comes through it's enough to make your eyes pop out of their sockets. I most certainly won't be taking my friends there again!

The description is correct in that it is a kind of cheesy and predictable Irish themed pub. However, they often have live bands which have been great on the several times I have been there. This is also a place large enough to accommodate large groups of students (such as the study-abroad program I am part of...walking into many of the quaint local pubs with 19 people just didn't work). The one thing I hate is that they don't have cocktails (don't have the proper license for cocktails) but beer and other drinks are served at fair prices.
