Once a parish church (of St Peter-le-Bailey), this is the largest of the Oxford college chapels. Re-decorated in Italianate shades of pink and blue and furnished with excellent lighting, this is a very attractive venue - although an audience below 30-odd will look rather lost and there can be unwelcome sound effects from reversing vehicles and over-enthusiastic revellers in New Inn Hall St. Comfortable padded chairs down the centre can be rearranged at will, wooden pews in the side-aisles handle overflow. A 1990s neo-classical Lammermuir organ has been summarily ejected from the nave, making the performing space at the chancel steps much more flexible, and revealing a lovingly-restored Willis behind. Goble harpsichord (Taskin-style).
