I've been here as a stop-gap looking for food in the centre of town. Expected greasy over-priced horribleness, got delightful jacket potato with nice toppings and plenty of salad for a reasonable price!
Hungry Horse (Unverified), 18/11/11 When I sat down I said to the person that I was eating with "more people should know about this place - it's criminal it's tucked away". It's healthy, the presentation is fantastic, and it's great value for money. Zeta (Unverified), 17/11/11 Smiley Cafe is located next to Carfax Tower and has new management. The staff are very friendly and seem to really enjoy their job. They offer organic food and drink, Brazilian omelettes a la Fernando's dad (Fernando is the owner). They have free Wi-Fi and two nice comfy sofas, as well as an outdoor area for smokers. The food is amazing, as are the coffees and drinks. My favourites are in the breakfast section: 'Simple Breakfast' and the muesli (comes with milk and yogurt, and a lot of fresh fruit). Can definitely recommend it. Bibi R (Unverified), 16/05/11 This is a new organic cafe, which seems to sell a quite similar range of sandwiches to Green's cafe. All their stuff is organic and they do gluten free cakes and sandwiches as well. They also have a wider range of salad options than a lot of cafes in Oxford, which is good. The staff are very friendly and the cafe has free Wi-Fi. My only very minor criticism is that I wish that they sold coffees in small sizes (at present they only have regular and large). Also, given that most of their staff are Brazilian it would be great if they could offer some Brazilian Salgados (savory snacks) like Coxinha, Pastéis or Pão de Queijo.
