Cheerful and endearing service, freshly made pizzas and always enough deals to keep it competitively priced with other pizza stores. We discovered them for the first time in February, and have not looked back, nor ordered takeaway pizza from anyone else. On the one occasion that they burned one of our pizzas we were given discounts for at least the next 4 visits, and as noted above by other people, we too have been offered tasty pieces of baklava while waiting. All in all, a fun little takeaway.
ALS (Unverified), 21/09/09 I used Pizza Roma's services last night for the first time and was very pleased. The pizzas were not too greasy and we got 2 free drinks with the delivery. The delivery fella was very nice and they came within 30 mins of my phone call. Will definitely be using these guys again. Spamo (Unverified), 07/11/06 Have used this place a couple of times and was impressed by the food and the service. The vegetarian, goats cheese and spicy hot all came will generous amounts of topping, and unlike the big chains all the ingredients taste fresh and unprocessed. My other half also noticed that the tomato sauce on the pizzas was rich and tasty, exactly as an organic tomato sauce should be. The pizzas themselves are not overdone, which for me is a good thing, but if you do like your crusts really crunchy you might need to ask them to do it a bit longer. Service was very friendly and we were given free Baklava while we waited, which were lovely and moreish. On the other occasion when we got delivery, the pizzas turned up quickly and were piping hot, with a really friendly delivery guy who was also bearing a free herb bread. The one down side is that the Pizzas themselves are not the cheapest, so it's probably best to go and collect and get the 2 for the price of 1 deal, but that aside, highly recommended. David Copperfield (Unverified), 27/08/06 It looks just like any other mid-late Cowley Road snackery. But this one offers, wait for it, healthy, organic Pizza. Surely some mistake? Daily Info bravely volunteered to find out. Interests of science, you know. We ordered 4 regular sized Pizzas, one Hawaian, one Meat Feast, one Veggi (mushrooms, spinach, sundried tomatoes and aubergine) and one "Henri's" (spinach, artichoke, cherry tomatoes, onions peppers and goat's cheese.) "Tasty", "fresh", "succulent" and "not over-crisp, but that's a good thing" were among the comments. Smallish pizzas, generously topped with a variety of vegetables and fresh herbs, not greasy, genuinely good quality. The herb flavours could be more dramatic, but it's great to get real herbs on a pizza in the first place, and you could definitely taste them. Quite pricey (£6.99/£7.99 each), but with a two for one offer of uncertain duration, the answer is to get in there quick and make sure they thrive. Service was very friendly: I was given a cheese in pastry thing while waiting, and a little baklava thing on departing. We tried the phone number and it didn't seem to work. Don't let that put you off. They are there. freddie fungus (Unverified), 26/06/06 Please fill in the boxes and then click "Send Review" to submit your review for Pizza Roma. | |
