Yesterday my mobility scooter got a puncture when I was right in the middle of town. Too far to go back and too heavy to push myself, I had to ask for help. This met with various responses but I would like to thank the kind man who moved it out of harm's way and parked it next to the taxi rank at Gloucester Green opposite the Odeon Cinema. I'm not a regular film goer but decided I would have to ask for further help and decided the cinema would be my first and best option. How right I was. They effectively scooped me up, dusted me off, gave me a drink and stored the scooter safely for me, until my husband was able to collect it much later in the day, having first taken the trouble to check he was the right person. All this with quietly efficient good humour. Thank you all very much.
