Then the Swan, Irish to the hilt & then some (especially when it comes to the jukebox & the decor - hurling & horseracing posters), is for you. Opposite the Crown House, east Oxford's Irish social club (see Shamrock bar, below), the Swan is not for the faint-hearted - but once adopted by the publicans, you'll find it warm and friendly.
